March favourites.

Hellooo

Yes, it is already the end of March.. don't know about you guys but this year is going CRAAAAZY quickly! So yess, you know what that means.. my monthly favourites :)
As soon as March began, I felt like spring/summer was definitely close (even if the weather didn't agree with me!) so I've really been getting into the summery colours.. for some reason especially orange/coral.
Topshop lipstick 'Ohh la la' - £8

'Ohh la la' Lipstick - £8 (Topshop): As soon as I saw this lipstick I just fell in love with it, it's a 'coral blush'.. it's vibrant - but isn't too shocking so you can wear it in the day and night. I've said before I love Topshop lipsticks, so I was so happy to find this one. It's smooth, moisturising, and matte with amazing pigmentation - definite favourite of the month.
'Atomic' Nails Inc Nail Varnish -FREE
'Atomic' Nails inc nail varnish - FREE!: I got this nail varnish in a magazine quite a while ago, but I've only just used it and I love it! I thought it might have gone off, but it was really smooth and dried very quickly, I'm sure I'll be buying more nails inc nail varnish in the future. Although I got mine free, there is an orange nails inc nail varnish to buy.. I think it'll look great in the summer, and brighten any outfit :)

'Papaya' and 'lychee' Barry M gelly nail paint - £6 for two (Superdrug): In my February favourites video (February favourites) I mentioned about two other gelly nail paints, I liked them so much and I was so happy when I saw two of the new spring/summer shades. I've talked about them in my haul, so read HERE if you want to know more about them.

'Papaya' and 'Lychee' Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paint - Two for £6sleek eyeshadows
Original Source Vanilla Milk and Rasberry Shower Cream
£2.30

'Original source vanilla milk and rasberry shower cream' - £2.30 (Boots): This smells AMAZING. There were so many choices, but this one stood out, it was on sale for £2.30 so thought why not! I did use it up quite quickly, but it was cheap - definitely need to repurchase!

Spiked Necklace - £8

Spiked necklace - £8 (Camden Market, London): I wrote about this is my previous post (HERE), I've really been loving statement necklaces lately, and just fell in love with this when I saw it.

Sleek 'au natural' eye shadow palette - £7.99 (Superdrug): This is definitely one of my favourites this month, such good value, and just so nice. I use my own brushes rather than the sponge applicator.. I don't actually know anyone who uses them! I again have mentioned this before in my haul video.
'Sleek' i-divine au natural palette - £7.99
Soap and Glory 'Breakfast Scrub' - £9.50

Soap and Glory 'Breakfast scrub' - £9.50 (Boots): I love this scrub, it smells like maple syrup.. so it's super sweet (which some people may not like), but the actual product is so good too. It really smooths my skin, and is great to use in the bath or shower and then use a body lotion after to really get the smoothest skin.

So that's it for the beauty items.. now a couple fashion pieces :)

Topshop Disco Pants
£30

Disco pants - £30 (Topshop): Now, I didn't know whether I would like these or not, but there has been so much hype around them; I thought I'd give them a go. They hype is worth it. I bought black ones, and so they are easy to wear with so much, they are like glorified leggings really ;) I'm not sure I'd pay £80 from American Apparel, but for £30 YES. I liked the black ones so much, I decided to buy some navy blue ones too.. yes, I am a shopaholic.

Curve Hem Sweat - £18 (Topshop): This is just such a comfy loungy jumper, which I like to make look a bit fancier by wearing a statement necklace.

Topshop Curve Hem Sweat - £18
I've also loved this necklace this month - £12 (Oasis)

Orange Metal Edge Structured Clutch - £30 (Oasis) - As I said, I've been loving orange, so I couldn't resist when I saw this - especially because my favourite going out bag had just broken! I wasn't sure about paying £30, but I had 15% student discount.. so that persuaded me!
Orange Clutch - £30
Now, these aren't beauty products but I have to mention them because I have reeeeeally loved them this month.

Bastille 'Bad Blood' CD - £9

Bastille 'Bad Blood' CD - £9 (Amazon): I loooove Bastille, their album is amazing, and since seeing them on the 27th of March I love them even more. I love them so much I've even written a post about them! (Bastille post) Seriously go check them out on youtube.. or just feel brave and buy the CD, you won't regret it!

Okay this is very random, but..

Confused Skittles
£1 (depending on the shop)

Confused Skittles - They are incredible! They are the new type of skittles (to the UK anyway) there are new flavours, and the colours don't match, and each colour can be a choice of flavours.. see why they're called confusing! ;) They were only £1 for a big pack in WHSmiths, so I couldn't resist.. I've shared them with friends, and have gotten many addicted.. sorry about that ;)

Bit of mix of items there, but they are the main things that I have been loving this month! I hope you enjoyed reading, feel free to follow on GFC and Bloglovin, and comment any questions, or any of your march favourites :)

LondonLondonLondon

Hellooo

Me and Lucy :)
So this weekend, if you didn't guess from the title.. I went to LONDON! Me and my fellow blogging friend Lucy (http://looceylu.blogspot.co.uk/) caught the 11.06 train to London Waterloo on Friday. The train takes about 3 hours from where we live, but it went crazy quick.. probably because we were so excited! Anyway, when we arrived we got Lucy an oyster card (I really advise anyone going to London to buy one.. makes travelling so much easier!), we figured out how to get from waterloo to our hotel (two underground trains) I thought I was going to be really scared, but it was actually okay - pretty simple to do, and lots of people working to ask if you aren't sure. We were staying in Alhambra hotel, it was exactly what we needed close to where we were going, cheap, and came with breakfast included.

Right, the reason we actually went to London was to go to a gig to see Billy Lockett.. not many people have heard of him, but he is amazing (http://www.youtube.com/user/officialbillylockett) SERIOUSLY go check him out! It was in St Pancras old church.. such a cute venue - lit with little candles :) The gig was amazing, so intimate, it definitely wouldn't have been the same if there were loads of people there. He was amazing.. I bought his new EP, got it signed and so we got to meet him afterwards :D - and tried to persuade him to come to Devon!

Billy Lockett's EP signed by him,
and the amazing guitarist/best friend Dan Blackwell
Me and BillyBillyBilly

Now, we weren't silly enough just to go to London and not do any shopping! So, on the saturday we caught a subway to Camden - literally 5 minutes away by underground, so easy to get to. I knew it was going to be so different to anywhere in London that I'd been before. I can safely say it was crazy, lots of random people trying to get you to buy their stuff.. but I loved it, the main reason.. you can bargain on prices!! You can't be doing that in Topshop and Urban Outfitters!

To be honest I don't take a lot of persuading when it comes to buying things, but I did refuse some things (my will power is growing!). I probably would have gotten more, but we were tired, there was basically a snow storm and so we were SOOOOO cold! But I did manage to get a few items that I'm very pleased with :)

Everything is from Camden Market:

Starbucks coffee top  £5.50 - I just thought this was so cute, it's super flowy and will be really nice to wear in the summer.

'Boy London' top £5.50 - I bought this at the same place as the starbucks top, and got a deal because I bought two.

'Boy London' jumper £12 - This apparently was meant to be £25, but I lowered the price, I'm sure he would have gone lower if I pushed but I felt bad! At I did want it so I thought 'why not'. It came in a few colours, but I loved the dark green :)

Patterned jumper £20 - As soon as I saw this I just thought it was super cute, I was thinking of giving it to my sister as a present, but soon changed my mind ;)

Gloves £7 - I wasn't planning on buying gloves, but my hands were FREEZING from the snow, and when I saw these, I had to buy them! They are so thick, it's crazy, they are so well made.. they seem much better and more unique than standard shop bought gloves.

Bag £20 - This is an orange/cream satchel bag, I just fell in love with it (I really have been loving orange lately) there was also a really cute one in mint, but I decided I couldn't get both! I bought this at the same place as the patterned jumper, and as I was the lady's first customer in the bad weather I got them each for £20 instead of £25, and she gave me a choice of any of the necklaces for free!!

Globe necklace FREE - I quickly chose a necklace as I didn't want her to change her mind ;) and the globe was so sweet, and it actually spins - LOVE IT.

Spiked necklace £8 - I've really been loving my spikey statement necklaces lately, so I knew I wanted it when I saw it, I knocked a couple of pounds off which I thought wasn't too bad.

Considering we only spent a couple of hours there, don't think I did too badly. There was a whole food section that we walked past, it all looked amazing - but it was too horrible to sit outside and eat so we didn't get to try any of it :( I would love to go again in the summer (or whenever it's nice weather) to have a proper look round everywhere as we were just too cold. I'd definitely advise you to visit Camden Market if you're in London though :)

Then we went back to the hotel, picked up our bags and went back to Waterloo. Just to add a bonus we then met Dr. Christian from 'embarrassing bodies' ..so random. But I mean, I had to have a picture, just because.

The trip was SO fun, definitely could have spent longer in London. Although it doesn't seem like we did loads, we were super tired on the train home.. but I did have an amazing chicken katsu curry from 'wasabi' and my first ever 'Krispy Kreme' - they were both so good!

My friend vlogged our trip, and she should be uploading it tomorrow.. so go check it out. Her youtube channel is http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCr1nSvA8B9PbZ_1JVuy2LTg?feature=watch

So, that's it from me.. I'm sure my next post will be a beauty product review, or maybe a fashion haul - I'm undecided at the moment, so you'll have to wait and see :) Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed it. Commenting and following on Google friend connect/bloglovin is much appreciated  :)

It's haul time!

Helloooo

My recent beauty items.. don't worry I won't be speaking about all of them!

I've been blogging for about 6 months now (woooah, how time flies when you're having fun!), and I do like to shop.. a lot. So I've decided it's time for a haul! :) I haven't bought all these items in once, so my bank card didn't take a huge hit at once. This post will just be of beauty items.. as there is quite a few! And a fashion post will follow shortly :) They are either items I've only recently started to use, or brand new products - HOW EXCITING! Right, let's begin..

As you can see from the picture, I have definitely been liking nail varnishes. As it is March I decided I needed ('wanted') some spring/summer colours.

Barry M nail varnishes 2 for £6
Superdrug
I bought two gelly nails from Barry M - I previously bought some of much darker shades, and really liked the nail varnish, so I was sooo happy when I saw these two, they were two for £6 - WIN. I bought the shades papaya and lychee, definite recommendation for the spring/summer season, and lychee is just a great nude that you can wear all year round.

Peaches and Cream nail varnish £5
(£4.50 with student discount)
Topshop
Not only do I love Topshop clothes.. I love their nail varnishes. They have such a range of colours, and recently I've really been liking orange. So when I saw this nail varnish, and heard the name 'peaches and cream' - how cute! However, they are £5 each.. only down side, as I think they are a little over priced, but I still couldn't resist! I'm actually wearing it as I write this post :)

'Fiji' Essie nail varnish £7.99
Boots
The final nail varnish I bought was 'fiji' by essie. I'm not even going to lie.. this was purely from all the amazing recommendations and reviews from bloggers and youtubers, such as Zoella, and  Sprinkle of Glitter. I can't wait to try this to see if all the fuss is worth it (I hope it is!), and I'm pretty sure I will do a review of it to give my opinion :)
'Sleek' i-divine au naturel palette £7.99
Superdrug
So, that's the nail varnishes done with.. now for 'Sleek' makeup. I bought an eye shadow palette and a lipstick, these are the first 'Sleek' items I have bought.. and I am pleasantly surprised. I was looking for a neutral eye shadow  just to put something on my eyes, but nothing too much.. and the 'au natural' eye shadow palette was perfect. There is are a range of colours that are a mixture of shimmers and mattes. The palette comes with 12 colours, and an eye shadow applicator (but I just use my own brush) - all for £7.99! I highly recommend this, and if you didn't want a neutral palette, there was a big range to choose from.

Sleek True Colour Lipstick 'Mulberry' £4.99
Superdrug
The other Sleek item I bought was the lipstick in the shade 'mulberry'. Now this.. is not a summer shade. It is a deep purple, I NEVER thought I would ever wear something like this, but my friend wore a similar shade, but from the revlon range and it looked really nice. I definitely don't slap this on like normal lipstick, I put a tiny bit on, then rub that into my lips so it just tints my lips purple.. sounds weird - but don't knock it until you've tried it! This again was reasonably priced at £4.99. I'll definitely be purchasing more products from Sleek in the future.. I'm sure the near future!

'Ohh la la' Lipstick £8
(£7.20 with student discount)
Topshop
Another item from topshop that has very recently been purchased.. is another lipstick. I honestly never used to wear them, now I can't get enough! It's the shade 'Ohh la la' - again loved the name. It is a coral blush (as I said, I've been loving the summer shades), and is smooth, matte with amazing pigmentation.

The other two lip items I bought are the 'Rimmel london apocalipse lip lacquer'.. that was hard to type. It has the 'rich colour of lipstick, enhanced by a satin smooth shine'. I have not actually used this item yet, so I can't say if it is good, but I was tempted to buy it before but didn't.. but today I saw it for £5.99 so I thought 'why not'. I bought the shade 'luna', a sort of coral nude (if that even exists). The next item I bought was also from Rimmel London, it is the '1000 kisses lip tint', I bought the shade orange. I've previously bought two other shades, and I tend to use this before lipstick.. sort of acting as a lip liner - plus it was only £4.49, so I didn't think that was too bad!
Apocalips Lip Lacquer 'Luna'
£5.99
Boots

I also bought the Garnier body lotion, this smells really good, is quick at absorbing and was cheap.. definite winner for me if you want a daily moisturiser that doesn't cost a bomb! I think it was about £4, and should be easy to find in most drug stores (I bought mine in boots).

1000 Kisses Lip Tint
£4.49
Boots
My next recent purchase was actually a re-purchased item (my third to be precise). It was the origins united state toner, £17 a bottle from House of Fraser. I mentioned it in this post http://phlerbler.blogspot.co.uk/2013/02/february-favourites.html so I won't go on about this, go have a read of my other post to find out more! :)

Another product that I was convinced to buy from lots of praise over the blogging world was the 'Liz Earle cleanse and polish'. Although I still have some origins cleanser left, I decided to buy it as I was just so intrigued. I'll definitely be writing a post about it when I've just it more, so I won't blab too much now. I bought the starter pack for £14.75 in John Lewis, this came with a 100ml bottle, and two muslin cloths.
Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish - £14.75
John Lewis

My final body item is a scrub, I've been wanting one of these for a while, as it's just as important to exfoliate your whole body - not just your face. A while ago I had 'flake away' by soap and glory, and was planning on buying that, but I decided to go for a change. I haven't used this yet, but I'm pretty excited. It is the soap and glory breakfast scrub, and it smells like maple syrup! If you don't like sweet smells then STAY AWAY, but fortunately I like them, and I think it smells AMAAAZING! It was £9.50, but it is a big pot, so it should last a while.
Soap and Glory Breakfast Scrub, £9.50
Boots

Okay, nearly there.. just three more products. They are all from benefit, I have really gone through a phase of liking their products.. they are just so cute! I buy all mine from Debenhams as I work there, so I get 20% off (BONUS). I bought these about 3 weeks ago, and have been using them everyday :) Firstly, there is 'erase paste'. This is mainly for under eye concealer, but can be used on the face too. I have been using it everyday, and barely anything has gone, you only need the tiniest bit. So I think it will last a long time (wooooo). It was £19.50 (without discount), which is quite expensive, but in the long term will probably be just the same as buying lots of cheap products.. plus it's good, so definitely better off.

Benefit Erase Paste - £19.50
Debenhams
The next benefit product is the boi-ing concealer. This is a best selling 'industrial strength concealer'.. yes I said industrial strength. It is quite heavy, and so isn't really for use under the eyes - although I have dabbed a small amount on the dark circles occasionally and it's been fine. Surprisingly, I don't have it in the lightest shade, I have it in 02 (slightly darker, which made me feel not as pale for once.. simple to please). It is £16.50, and again have been using it more than once a day, and have barely dented the pot.
Benefit Boi-ing concealer - £16.50
Debenhams

Benefit They're Real Mascara £18.50
Debenhams
My final product *breathes sigh of relief* is the benefit 'They're real mascara'. This is the world's best selling mascara, and to please me with mascaras is hard work - have stupid eyelashes that just point down.. sad times :( (even eyelash curlers don't work great for me!). At first I wasn't a fan, the wand seemed a bit too plastic and hard for my liking, but with more use I do like it, I'm sure if you had normal eyelashes that curled up it would be amazing. I will definitely continue to use it, but I'm yet to decide whether to repurchase or to try another mascara. If anyone knows any amazing mascara for curling lashed then please let me know!

Wow, well that post seemed to take a while.. if you actually managed to read it all then WELL DONE - but I did say I bought a lot ;) Feel free to comment and follow, thanks again for reading!

One word.. Bastille.

Hellooo

So this week, the new Bastille album (Bad Blood) was FINALLY released! :) I got mine for £8.99 from Amazon, and it only took a few days to come (that was with the free delivery option too). Bastille formed in 2010, but have really made it big this year, and are still becoming more and more popular.
I would say their music is 'Indie rock'. The music, his voice.. I just love it. I'm going to see them on the 27th of March in Bristol.. SO SOOOOON! That's with my fellow blogger friend Lucy :) (http://looceylu.blogspot.co.uk), the tickets were only around £14 - bargain.. especially as they are becoming more popular, so soon I'm sure the prices will rocket!

I actually love every song on the album, which is rare to find.. but at the moment my favourites are 'these streets' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zEratQ9p7nM and 'weight of living pt II'. But they are all AMAZING, so my recommendation this week is to go and buy the album.. NOW!

I know this isn't beauty related, but I promise my next post will be - might even do a review of a couple new items.. how exciting ;) Thanks for reading, and as usual comment below if you know any bands that you think people should hear about!

Cody simpson, Carly Rae Jepson, Justin Bieber and V festival.. all in a couple days work.

Hellooo

So it's been slightly over a week since my last blog, and that is because I have had a VERY busy week, but an amazing one..

Carly Rae Jepson
I still went to college, and to work.. but on Thursday 28th I went to Birmingham to see Justin Bieberrrrrr! Yes, many people don't like him - but I LOOOVE him, he was amazing. We had such good seats, sooo close, there was an amazing atmosphere, it was really incredible. Cody Simpson and Carly Rae Jepson supported, I'd never really listened to Cody Simpson before, but I now love him.. even if he is only 16. He was an amazing singer and dancer.. oh and he is australian - everyone loves an aussie. Carly Rae Jepson was quite good too, although did sound like a chipmunk when she spoke, which was a bit annoying. They each were on for about half an hour each, so managed to sing quite a few songs which was good.
Cody Simpson

Then.. BIEBER, the show started at 19.30pm, and bieber came on at about 21.00pm, the show was incredible. There was clearly sooo much effort, planning and money! There were fireworks, confetti, effects.. oh, and he started by flying out. Standard.

The show finished at around 11pm, so it was a few hours long :) The only downer was it took about an hour to get out of the car park, and so didn't get home until 03.30am!!
The Amazing Bieber
But I couldn't sleep in, nope - I had to wake up at 08.30am ready to buy V festival tickets.. WHICH I DID. I cannot tell you how excited I am, they cost about £200 for a weekend camping ticket, which is not bad considering the line up (http://www.vfestival.com/index.php) it includes Beyonce, kings of leon, two door cinema club and sooo many more! It's on August 17th and 18th so I am hoping sooo badly for sun!

This has just gotten me sooo excited for summer, it needs to hurry up now.. 2013 is already shaping up to be an amazing year and it's only march! (but oh my god that it's already march!)

Anyone got any exciting summer plans? ..Feel free to share :)
