What a fun little weekend.

Helloooo

So this weekend I have spent a lot of time with my friend Natasha (check out her blog HERE), she has turned 18 today.. so HAAAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Me in the garden for the night out :)

Mint choc chip icing on cupcakes, with flake topping!

On Friday I went over Natasha's house, and well.. made food. We made some cupcakes for her birthday (the icing lasted nice, and had the right colour.. but well was a little too smooth shall we say :S) - hopefully they went down okay though.. apologies if they did not!

Homity Pie

Then after doing a little bit of nothing, we made something known as a 'homity pie'. I had NEVER heard of this before, but ooooooh.. it was tasty! It's basically pastry, potato, onion, cheese and bacon - oh so healthy, we could have made it healthier, but decided against it.

Natasha's pretty photo.. I wasn't clever enough to take one
of the fire!

In the evening a group of us went to the beach for a bonfire, toasting marshmallows (as well as nearly my eyebrows/face), and simply throwing multiple tennis balls.. sounds pretty simple, and it was but it was really fun, especially as it wasn't freezing :)

On Saturday I went round to Natasha's again (I'm sure she'll just pretend she's moved soon ;)), I filmed - well hopefully successfully - a video of Beckii doing Natasha's make up for the night out (Beckii's youtube), then got ready myself.. by this point the rest of Natasha's friends were basically arriving. We just chilled for a bit and had some chinese, then we HIT THE TOWN.. well a bar as the 'club' was shut. But it was fun, we had some drinks, and I met lots of new people as I didn't go to the same school as Natasha :) Then we got in at about 1ish, so not too bad. At this point it's sunday, so NATASHA'S BIRTHDAY! She then had the joy of me sleeping over and having my face to be the first to see when she woke up as just a slightly older 18 year old - therefore adult! I hope you had a fun weekend Natasha, and thanks for involving me.. and providing me with food and shelter ;) hahaha.

The best cookie recipe.. EVER.

Hellooo

I recently made the most AMAZING cookies ever, so I just had to share the recipe. I found it from watching Tanya Burr's Youtube (the link goes to the video), and they looked so good I had to try them. I'd never made cookies before; I'm more of a cupcake maker, but I've always wanted to try them.. so I thought why not!

So if you want to try to make the most amazing triple chocolate cookies then read ahead!

Ingredients (Makes 12..ish)
200g unsalted butter, 300g caster sugar, 1 large egg, 275g self-raising flour, 75g cocoa powder, two BIG bars of chocolate (white and milk), a splash of milk.
..these ingredients are obviously not mandatory, you could add some dark chocolate, or some nuts - whatever you think you'd like the best!

Recipe
Preheat your oven to 220°C (200°C for fan assisted).

They really were sooo nice (but you definitely only need one.. very filling!) I had many compliments :) I had mine with some milk - I love anything chocolatey with milk, but I'm sure many of you would have tea (I hate tea..). The best thing was that they were so quick and easy to make. They tasted great that day, and even tasted great a few days later - which surprised me. So if you want to make them, but think they will go horrible in a few days, don't worry they should be fine if kept in an air tight container.

I hope some of you try them, any questions leave them below.. and please if you do make them, write a post and leave a link below, so I can see how yours turned out!

So it's been a while..

Hellooo

Wow, it really has been a while since I posted.. but it's because I was busy doing exams and finishing college. And now, I HAVE FINISHED COLLEGE! I'm so happy, it went so quickly and I'm glad I went.. but I'm also very happy that it's over :) It still hasn't quite sunk in yet..

But yes - this does mean I'll have much more free time, so I should be getting back into blogging regularly. I just thought I'd write this post to explain a little, rather than just diving straight into another post!
Oh and as it is already the 19th of June, I've decided I will join my May and June favourites together at the end of the month :)
So I'll will be back very soon with a new post - I already have a few ideas, to keep your eyes peeled! :)

Tag: The Seven Deadly Sins of Beauty

Hellooo

Blimey it's been a while since I've posted! I have been busy, only two weeks left of college.. then I'll have plenty of free time! I was recently tagged by Emily, I think it's such a good blog post.. so thanks for tagging me!

Greed
What is your most expensive beauty item?
Apart from an odd expensive foundation, I would say it is probably my Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Lipshine. I have currently bought two, my first was limited edition - so unfortunately it is now gone :'( And so I replaced it with something quite similar.. '68 Candeur', it's a really cute baby pink colour, that just gives your lips a nice pinky nude shine - great with a more dramatic eye. It was £24, yes quite expensive - but every girl needs a little Chanel in their life!

Wrath
Which item do you have a love/hate relationship with?
Foundation. I don't know about you, but finding the perfect foundation seems to be a struggle. The colour match, the coverage and so on! Some days a certain foundation can look really nice, other days it's like my skin has literally changed overnight and does not like it AT ALL.

Gluttony
Which brand makes up the biggest chunk of your makeup collection?
I would definitely have to say Benefit, it's just the cute packaging draws me in! It also helps that I get 20% as I currently work in Debenhams :) yayayyy for staff discount! However, I do have a lot of others brands that contribute heavily to my collection - I just love trying new brands and products.

Sloth
What product do you neglect to use due to laziness?
Well it depends what day really, but I would say it's probably eyeliner - I only every wear liquid eyeliner on the top lash line.. but it seems to take some effort, plus some days I just want a fresher/less make up look!

Pride
What beauty product gives you the most confidence?
Hmm, I think it would have to be concealer. This little beauty is so handy, even if you just have a little blemish it can drag your confidence right down, and yet with just with a little concealer it can suddenly make you feel so much better! Could not live without it :)

Lush
Which item is at the top of your beauty wish list?
I have many products that I want, but my next item is the bareminerals starter kit. I've always been intrigued by mineral foundation, yet I've never tried it. I was surprised to find out it has good coverage, and it's good for your skin.. and it is soooo quick to apply! Can't wait to buy it, I'm just waiting for my shade to come back in stock!!

Envy
What makeup product/look is great on others but not on yourself?
I've always loved the look of smokey eyes, like PROPER smokey eyes, but I've never been brave enough to try it.. maybe I'll try it one day - in the house when no one is around to judge ;)

Thanks again for tagging me, I'm going to tag:

..and anyone else reading this, I challenge you :) Feel free to leave your post links below, I'd love to read them!
